Jun 22, 2015 Yoshi's Woolly World honours this tradition, but also subverts it. Here, finding hidden items is technically an optional side-quest, but paradoxically, it's also the game's only real challenge. A few weeks ago, my Wii U stopped reading my Super Smash Bros. I ejected, cleaned it, restarted the console, and even re-downloaded the updates, and it worked again. Then it happened again to Mario Kart 8. And Yoshi's Woolly World. And Mario 3D World.
Knitting yarn, patchwork, and other handicraft materials combine into a whimsical and crafty backdrop for our knit Yoshi to explore. Instead of eggs, this time Yoshi tosses yarn balls that he can use to clear blocked paths, tangle-up enemies, or even knit together platforms and warp pipes. Yoshi can also tug at stray yarn to unravel walls and reveal hard-to-reach areas filled with hidden collectibles. Tackle challenges in local 2-Player co-op by partnering up with a friend.
